CMM Programmer
The CMM Programmer’s primary responsibility is programming and inspecting products using the CMM and completing “secondary” inspections at the CMM using an optical comparator, caliper, micrometer, thread gages, and other hand tools. This position requires at least two years or more of relevant experience programming and operating a CMM running PCDMIS, with a good understanding of GD&T and how to apply these requirements to programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
REQUIRED:
- Able to read and interpret prints including GD&T aspects.
- Able to program CMM machines using PCDMIS software (2019) with no additional training.
- Able to write clear instructions for set-ups and relay information to CMM operators and machining to aid in correcting non-conformances.
- Familiar with standard measurement tools: micrometers, calipers, comparators, thread plugs, and plug gages.
- Must be detail oriented in documentation as well as measuring techniques.
- Must have high visual acuity.
- Must be able to perform job functions given distractions.
- Able to perform in a high paced environment.
- Self-motivated; able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read and understand standard operating procedures, specifications, and forms.
- Highly trainable
- Strong attendance record
PREFERRED:
- Experienced with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook)
- Have a background in a machining environment (Quality and/or Production)
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work follows but is not limited to the core corporate hours Monday through Friday, 8a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
